WHAT IS TECHNICAL WRITING?
It’s the transmission of technical information by writing, where one is the gap between the product and the users/manufacturers.
IT'S DIVERSE FORMS
It exists in different forms, including the following most common forms:
- End-User Documentation,
- Traditional Technical Writing,
- Technical Marketing Communications, and
one could either take it as a fulltime career or be freelancing; with the most popular being:
- Open-Source Contributions, and
- Writing personal articles.
Skills needed for Technical Writing include:
- Research
- Audience perception
- Technical skills
- Writing.
MY CURRENT TRACK IN THE ADA PROGRAM AND THREE OTHER CAREER PATHS IN TECH
I belong to the MOBILE APP FLUTTER track in the ADA program, and I have learnt a lot in the few weeks that I have spent in the program, including writing codes on the Dart console and will soon be introduced to the Flutter language; as we are currently working on a group project.
Three other career paths in Tech, include:
- Product Management
- Frontend and
- Data Analysis.
